Why this Role Matters

We're a 10-year old SaaS company which is on an accelerating growth path with a number of our enterprise customers expanding their usage from domestic to global. Our usage-based billing (including telecom, advertising, pay-as-you-go services) is rapidly scaling and becoming a key revenue contributor - but we are still tracking and invoicing it manually. While we are profitable and growing, and can thus operate without external capital, we would like to bring in someone who can spearhead future capital raising, while owning cost optimization, strategic finance, so that we can access capital for future growth opoportunities. 

What You’ll Do

• Partner with CEO and execytive teams to inform pricing, margin strategy, and capital planning
• Lead our FinOps practice, managing and optimizing telco/cloud infrastructure costs and revenue
• Standardize core SaaS metrics: ARR, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) payback period, gross margin, and more
• Build investor-ready reporting and forecasts; support PE capital conversations
• Manage our Finance Manager, who handles accounting, billing, payroll, and audit
• Integrate Xero and Maxio data into real-time dashboards and financial models
• Own internal controls and compliance processes to maintain strong financial hygiene

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years in finance leadership, including 2+ in usage-based SaaS (ideally $5–20M ARR)
• Proven experience managing infrastructure or CPaaS spend
• Strong grasp of strategic finance, forecasting, and operational improvement
• Comfortable leading a small team, improving systems, and owning metrics end-to-end
• Clear communicator who thrives in remote, async teams
• Experience building "things" (software, dashboard, automated reports, etc.)
